episode Sex Positivity, Activism and Rising Above Hurt and Harm (with Riece Hamilton) artwork
Sex Positivity, Activism and Rising Above Hurt and Harm (with Riece Hamilton)

Riece Hamilton is a sex educator at the University of Louisville. She is also a bad arse activist! We talk about so much great stuff in this conversation from believing in and voting for women, to reproductive rights and sex education in schools. We talk about the current social justice movement and the ways Riece has been involved as well as the changes she has seen in white folks so far. The most important message of this conversation is that we need to sit down together and listen. We white folks need to listen and really sit with the hurt and harm that we have created and from that place make change! Alsoooooo, I mention Occupy ICE and it sounds like I say it was in 2008 and maybe I accidentally did say that but it was actually in 2018. My numbers got confused in my mouth hole. Soz. episode Food Justice, Equity For All and Meeting People’s Needs (with Nannie Croney) artwork
Food Justice, Equity For All and Meeting People’s Needs (with Nannie Croney)

Today on the show I chat with Nannie Croney from the grassroots organization, Change Today Change Tomorrow- a kick arse women run organization that serves marginalized folks in Louisville and focusses primarily on education, food justice and public health. Nannie talks about having our needs met and it made me think about how people are showing up for me during a really challenging period of my life and that we should perhaps use Nannie’s words as inspiration to be there for one another always. resources: CLICK HERE [https://change-today.org/volunteer/] to volunteer with Change Today Change Tomorrow: Donate to Change Today Change Tomorrow: Cash App $ChangeTodayChangeTmw, Venmo @ChangeTodayChangeTmw CLICK HERE [https://PayPal.com/us/fundraiser/charity/4009156] to donate via paypal: CLICK HERE [https://www.dopedesignsbynannie.com/] to check out Dope Designs by Nannie: Let’s get Nannie her embroidery machine! Body Positivity, Sizeism and Reclaiming the Word Fat (with Naomi Finkelstein)

YOU ALL! This episode is great. It starts out a bit dicey with my terrible attempt at self promotion… you see, I have a brand spanking new Patreon membership space, which is actually pretty darned excellent and you all should sign up for it but anyway… I then go on to talk about my feely feelings a bit and then I interview Naomi Finkelstein about body positivity and all kinds of other good and inspiring stuff! Naomi and I talk about reclaiming the word fat, shifting beyond the weight loss paradigm, the famine response and so much more! I’m so excited for you all to listen yeah! Oh but also I want to offer a trigger warning to folks as we do talk a lot of about issues relating to weight and body acceptance. Love you all! episode Meditation For Replenishment artwork
Meditation For Replenishment

The intention of this meditation is to offer rest and replenishment. It’s for us to drink in what we need. We replenish so that we can recreate ourselves. Or come back to life stronger, more resilient, ready. This is about healing. Whatever healing means to us. And understanding that healing is never linear. Meditation starts at 1:36 so feel free to skip the intro and go straight into meditation mode. Just know that this practice is for you and your healing process, therefore, if something doesn’t feel good for you, you don’t have to continue… or you can just focus on your breath rather than my voice! The meditation includes visualization, which is super hard or even impossible for some. If that’s the case for you, don’t worry about it, again, just focus on your breath! Take care and enjoy!
