episode HER STORY: Isa Guha cover

Description

A trailblazer both off and on the sporting field, Isa Guha was the first South Asian woman to represent England in any senior sporting team, and then made the transition to broadcaster, where she is one of the world’s most sought after and admired commentators, where she covers cricket, tennis and even the Paris Olympics. In this chat, Isa shares about how she has used her experiences and platform, and the fact girls and women are still well behind when it comes to participation and opportunities in cricket, to help the next generation by founding ‘Take Her Lead’. Quick Chat with Kiera Austin

Kiera Austin is one of the world’s best netballers. A goal shooter and creator, she’s a World Cup and Commonwealth Games champion with the Australian Diamonds, and was Player of the Grand Final in the Melbourne Vixens’ 2025 Super Netball premiership win. Kiera is also passionate about women’s health, making conversations around it less taboo, and has helped develop ‘UnderAustin’, a game changing new undergarment product for female athletes across a number of sports and active pursuits. We chat about how netball can continue to evolve, the progress being made in discussing girls and women’s health, and why she wanted to help provide a solution to a long term issue. Quick Chat with Brighton Robins AFC

The Brighton Robins Aussie Rules club in Tasmania’s Southern Football League wouldn’t normally capture the attention of people around Australia, however their run of heavy losses through the 2026 season - losing their opening 8 games by an average of 229 points - certainly had people taking notice. The senior women’s team scored a single point throughout that period while playing in the Premier League competition. But as skipper Lauren Dykes and ruck Shanee Evans explain, the team isn’t playing in that division by choice - it’s necessary for their men’s club to continue playing at the top level. The selflessness, optimism and perspective of the players is admirable, while also a great lesson that playing sport is about the journey and not always the result.
