episode Extra Episode: Karmelo Anthony Found Guilty And It's His Own Fault cover

Description

Smooth breaks down the Karmelo Anthony murder conviction and why, despite the harsh verdict, the circumstances surrounding the case make it hard to defend. While Smooth initially questioned the murder one charge arguing manslaughter or murder two made far more legal sense new details emerged mid-conversation that shifted the entire take. Karmelo was on an active suspension from school and the track team when the stabbing occurred. Worse, his previous suspension was for bringing a knife to school and he brought one again. That combination of choices eviscerated any self-defense argument he could have leaned on. Smooth's take: 35 years may be excessive, and murder one is a stretch given there was no prior relationship with the victim. But when you're somewhere you're not supposed to be, carrying something you're not supposed to have, for the second time the system has very little sympathy to offer. A tough conversation about accountability, the justice system, and how one bad decision after another can cost you everything.

Extra Episode: AshDracc Applies For Streamer University! Reaction W/ CurlyKage

Smooth links up with his boy CurlyKage for a live reaction session that quickly goes off the rails in the best way possible. The two kick things off by venting about getting passed over for Streamer University while reacting to application videos from some interesting hopefuls including the mysterious and chaotic “AshDracc,” whose energy sparks a full-blown debate that carries the entire stream. From there, the conversation bounces between the Souluminati and DDG beef saga, the streamer grind, and what it really means to be a content creator when life gets in the way. Things get serious toward the end when a chat question about the Drake vs. Kendrick beef opens the door to a surprisingly deep breakdown weighing bars against allegations, discussing moral consistency, and what it takes for a rap beef to actually stick. Funny, unfiltered, and unexpectedly thoughtful.

Can Technology Fix Democracy? Episode 378 Ramon Perez of the Digital Democracy Project Interview

What if you could vote on actual legislation right from your phone and have your congressman see the results before casting their vote on the floor? That's exactly what the Digital Democracy Project is building. In this episode, Smooth sits down with Ramon Perez, a civic tech innovator working to close the gap between everyday citizens and the lawmakers who are supposed to represent them. Ramon breaks down how their nonprofit is using mobile voting software powered by blockchain and biometric verification to give verified voters a real voice on the bills being debated in Congress right now. We're talking the Reconciliation Bill, ICE funding, the Iran War Powers Act, and more. They go deep on why most Americans are effectively living in a one-party system thanks to gerrymandering, why Congress has a 9% approval rating, and how both parties have quietly colluded to keep voters out of the process. Ramon also explains how their AI-powered legislative chatbot lets you cut through media bias and read the actual bill no spin, no noise. This is a real conversation about power, accountability, and what it actually means to have your voice heard in 2026. Extra Episode: BINT Scam Final Update! Marlon And Lashonda Moore Sentenced To 40 Years!

The Moores thought they could beat the system now they're paying for it with their freedom. Smooth breaks down the final chapter of the “Blessing in No Time” (BINT) pyramid scheme that defrauded thousands of people, mostly within the Black community, during the pandemic with promises of 800% returns. After initially pleading guilty and being offered a 10-year deal, Marlon and LaShonda Moore violated their pre-trial release by continuing to run the scam leading the court to reject their plea agreement entirely. They rolled the dice on a jury trial, lost on every count, and were hit with the maximum: 480 months (40 years) in federal prison plus over $4.3 million in restitution. Smooth digs into how a couple who once appeared on Oprah and were already millionaires threw it all away for greed, what the “blessing boards” scam actually looked like from the inside, and why turning down 10 years for a shot at freedom turned into a life sentence for two people in their late 30s.

Extra Episode: Kathelina Cheated On Her Boyfriend With Her Cousin

Smooth breaks down one of the wildest “accountability videos” of the year a creator's attempt to apologize to her ex after getting exposed for cheating with her own cousin, complete with a scripted “My Truth” statement, a hired crisis management/reputation team, and receipts on receipts on receipts. In this episode: the original exposure video, the painfully scripted apology, the timeline contradictions, the bucket list screenshots, the age-gap fact-check, and a real-time read of both sides' stories to figure out who's really telling the truth. Smooth and the crew go full detective mode comparing dates, catching jump cuts, and calling out the PR playbook line by line. ️ New episodes of Homeroom With Smooth drop every week.

LIFE Episode 346 Relationships, Friendships And Grown Perspective

In episode 346, “Life,” the host shares a grown perspective on friendships, relationships, love, and faith, explaining he's skipping UCA homecoming because it feels illogical, exhausting, and socially regressive, and he'd rather spend time with a small, reliable circle who reciprocate effort. He argues friendships and dating should be two-way streets, with care in how advice is delivered and an emphasis on genuine conversation over being chased or romanticized, especially in one's 30s. He recounts being mistakenly handcuffed due to profiling, a childhood bully encounter years later, and notes he values his routines and content creation, making relationships hard to add. He discusses church background across denominations, says he wouldn't date a nonbeliever though he's skeptical of hypocritical “church” behavior, reflects on limited, short relationships, and stresses lasting partnerships require real friendship and consistent effort. 00:00 Episode 346 Life Intro 02:01 Skipping Homecoming Reasons 06:05 Choosing Your Real Circle 08:49 Friendship Effort And Respect 10:22 Cuffed By Mistake Story 12:09 Profiling And Real Talk 13:22 Bully Reunion And Glow Up 16:36 Relationships Peace Vs Dating 17:18 Toxic Ex Reflection And Accountability 19:28 Why I Dont Chase Anyone 20:34 Faith Background And Denominations 21:08 Saturday Sabbath Debate 22:18 Church Hopping Stories 23:25 No More Chasing 24:14 Faith and Dating Standards 25:40 Denominations and Catholic Vibe 26:33 Modern Dating Frustrations 28:02 Romance Expectations in 30s 30:22 Housewife vs Career Talk 32:44 Cooking or Going Out 33:37 Shortest Relationships Ever 34:46 Building the Platform First 36:37 Friendship Is the Real Bond 37:36 Free Time and Priorities 39:02 Letting Things Go 40:35 People Quit Too Fast 41:22 Anger Ends Relationships 42:26 Closing Thoughts and Sign Off
