Narjes and Amber share their most pivotal moments in their career that shaped both their characters and leadership. aflevering What makes a successful team? artwork

What makes a successful team?

Narjes & Amber explore the different perspectives and how organizations define what makes a successful team. The dynamics of how a companies vision, mission and purpose is driven from the top down but is often disconnected from the teams reality or needs. We believe that leaders inside organizations who want to take a more modern approach with building successful teams must create their own cornerstones that act as the foundation behind the brand. So we dive into our own experiences and each share our own top 4 characteristics and qualities that we believe to be the cornerstones of success inside the leadership to keep, build and engage your teams effectively. We also breakdown the benefits and the costs of not having consistency in executing your cornerstones. Communication, Consistent Leadership, Collaboration, Innovation and fun! What makes up your top cornerstones? How we keep it human: Leaders please be super transparent with the context behind these cornerstones. Don't be in one lane. Be open, curious and consistent! Co-create these cornerstones together with your teams so they too can take ownership and not walk around feeling like "whats the point!"......what do mean? Listen in!

aflevering Grief in the Workplace with Lynn Abate Johnson artwork

Grief in the Workplace with Lynn Abate Johnson

Narjes & Amber are delighted to have a very special guest on today to discuss grief in the workplace and how that can effect people. Lynn gets real and raw as she takes us through her own personal journey through illness, death and grief inside her family. How that lead her to shift her perspective from lack of trust, the fear of showing up and being judged as weak to discovering a new part of herself. Today along with her conscious leadership and community work she brings awareness on the reality of navigating this difficult journey and helping others through their own care taking and grief process inside and outside of the workplace. Through her story we learn the importance of why leaders need to create a culture of authenticity that in turn leaves room for a spectrum of emotions for employees to feel connected and safe to lean into. She shares the impact of how letting go of old mindsets such as leaving our employees to compartmentalize their personal struggles on their own, and instead asks organizations and leaders to humanize the workplace environment, embracing the check in process to help them navigate their way through. How we keep it human: We just want to remind everyone, leaders and employees alike, who is or has experienced a difficult journey of illness, death and grief...you are not alone and asking for help is ok. As Lynn so beautifully asks us to lean into....Coping with curiosity! And for you amazing leaders out there we would add....lead with curiosity! Feelings In The Workplace- Need To Have or Nice To Have?

Can there be room for such complex emotions as part of the workplace culture? This is the question that lead us to dive into what place feelings have in the workplace and our fascination with how they can impact your employees productivity if leaders and organizations don't create room for them. We show you how to go from focusing only on the core values of the organization to identifying how you want your people to experience their time with you. How you want them to feel. Values and feelings need to be connected and a part of how you design your workplace culture.  How we keep it human: Here is what we know for sure...If you want your employees to be fully invested and committed to their work, your customers, each other and to their own personal growth, then they need to feel free to bring their whole self to the game, to the table, and that no matter how "uncomfortable" it may be for you.... that must include room for their feelings!
