Description

In this conversation legendary DJ Brandon Block takes us on a remarkable journey through four decades at the heart of Ibiza’s clubbing story. From his first trips to the island and early DJ bookings with Alan Warman in the late 1980s, Brandon recalls the magic of discovering Ibiza as it emerged as the global capital of dance music. He reflects on the iconic clubs, unforgettable residencies, and the unique atmosphere that made the island unlike anywhere else on earth. Brandon also speaks candidly about the excesses that came with life at the centre of the scene, the personal challenges he faced, and the turning point that led him towards detox, recovery and a new chapter in his life. With honesty, humour and perspective, he shares the lessons learned from both the highs and lows of an extraordinary career. Most of all, this is a story about enduring passion. Brandon reflects on the DJs, club owners, promoters, workers and partygoers who shaped Ibiza’s culture, and explains why, after 40 years behind the decks, his love for the island and its people remains as strong as ever.
