Is there a wrong way of praying?

There is no wrong way to pray; however, the prayer of Jesus should be looked at as our gold standard of prayer. When we pray, we are not speaking to a distant being but our father who loves us unconditionally. When Jesus prayed to our Father, he had a deep personal loving relationship with him. We are encouraged to pray within the same relationship. Praying allows you to connect to your thoughts, which again are very powerful, when speaking with God.
