In Pursuit of Passion
How would you describe your passion? Why do we let go of good habits? Do you need help to pursue continuous progress? In the fourth episode of this season, we were joined by powerlifter, photographer and business owner Emmanuel Onimowo to speak about his passion for powerlifting. Emmanuel has many passions, but the primary one is powerlifting. The first time he went to the gym with his brother, it ignited a flame within him to pursue this sport and pursue continuous progress within it. He has been able to compete in competitions and achieve outstanding totals in his squat, bench and deadlift, and he is focused on competing in future contests. And yet, amazingly, he's still able follow his other passions, including architecture, photography and his clothing business. Emmanuel is an individual defined by focusing on the process over the destination and was an absolute joy to interview. We also covered what powerlifting involves, the importance of having a creative outlet, regardless of what it is and the golden rules for pursuing a passion. Topics covered What is powerlifting Competing against yourself First time in the gym How would you describe your passion Chasing continuous progress Why do we let go of good habits?
