With the weaponization of the Charlie Kirk assassination by MAGA loyalists. Free speech, which was one of Kirk’s main talking points, is now being used as justification for censoring dissenting voices.  America is in an existential crisis against itself in this moment in history, and looking for voices of unity and leadership to guide it through this dark period towards the ideal of which it was once founded.  The “shining city on the hill” has remained illusive thus far, but there’s still hope for us all to turn it around.

Episode 4: Misinformation and Divisiveness

Free speech and the freedom of press is under attack in America in the wake of the Charlie Kirk assassination. In Search of America explores the scenario of a state run media merger which would allow the current administration to sensor programming and silence dissidents and critics.  We The People need to stand up and fight for our right to Life, Liberty and The Pursuit of Happiness that is afforded to us by the constitution of the United States of America by voicing our opinions and embodying the ideals of which this country was founded.  Episode 4 explores the dangers of government censorship, misinformation by podcasters and news outlets and our 1st amendment rights to speak out against corruption and power.

Episode 2: Empathy, Compassion and the Dangers of Becoming Desensitized to Violence as a Society

In Episode 2 we explore the lack of empathy in our country, the dangers of dehumanizing each other and becoming desensitized to the violence in our nation as a society.  We talk about how news organizations only reporting one side of the story has led to a great divide amongst Americans and how important it is to confirm your facts through multiple sources before forming an informed opinion.  By questioning the information being spoon fed to us through critical thinking, we can stay informed and seek to understand the entirety of the situation with empathy, compassion and understanding.

Episode 1: How did we get here?

With the assassination of Charlie Kirk and the stabbing of Iryna Zarutska, America is at a volatile flash point.  In Search of America dives in deep to ask, "How did we get here?" and "Where do we go from here?"  The division and vitriol from the internet seems to be spilling out onto the streets and unless we find some kind of middle ground, America is headed for a serious reckoning. On this episode we explore the dangers of the media pushing one-sided narratives and the political tribalism which is tearing the country apart at the seams.
