This week we are discussing the topics “Offensive Mascots” CHANGE THE NAME AND IMAGERY OF THE KANSAS CITY FOOTBALL TEAM. Signing the petition to change the name of the Kansas City Team is a great start on removing offensive imagery and can lead to additional sports teams like The Atlanta baseball team, and the National Hockey Team, removing their offensive names as well. No Appropriation Halloween

This week we are discussing the topic of “No Appropriation Halloween”. Halloween is coming up and gatherings and parties are picking up again, this means that there will probably be a lot of people dressing up and either attending or hosting themed parties. So we wanted to have a discussion around the sort of costumes that people might choose and the cultural significance and implications that are attached to some of these choices.
