Just Ask Psychology! with Dr Ute
In this episode Dr Ute addresses the people she doesn't get to see: those who are reluctant to go to therapy at all! From challenging those who don't believe in therapy as a solution, to supporting those with anxiety about getting vulnerable in a session, Dr Ute and psychology grad Emmanuelle explore the science - and the art - of a good therapist exercising empathy and control. They also discuss Dr Ute's direct communication style (!), who it works for, who it doesn't, and Dr Ute gives her take on whether or not a good therapist needs to have first experienced therapy themself.
