Meet Flea Miller! An Auckland Teenager With Something To Say

Flea Miller is a 16-year-old singer/songwriter/musician and record label owner. Flea will make his way to The 13th Floor's performance space this Saturday, treating fans to an acoustic/spoken word set, something a little different for the young artiste. The 13th Floor's Marty Duda spoke to Flea a few days before the event to find out what the youthful indie rocker has planned. As it turns out, Flea's been inspired by the poetry of one J. Luna Shadows is a US/NZ artist based (mostly) in LA, at least that's where we found her when we tracked her down to talk about her new album, titled, bathwater. Mel Parsons on Sabotage

Mel Parsons is just about to release her new album, titled Sabotage and we thought we’d take the opportunity to talk to Mel about how it came to be. Marty Duda spoke to Mel, who was at home in Lytttleton, just days before Sabotage is to be released. Unlike previous albums, Mel and producer Josh Logan played and sang everything on the recording, using no outside musicians.

We talk to Lehali Who Performs Venus and the Moon at The 13th Floor

Lehali is Rosalie Norton a 19-year-old singer/songwriter from Hamilton who was in Auckland for Youth Week. We were lucky enough to have her up to our studio to hear her perform her song Venus and the Moon. Marty Duda sat down with the teenager who already has one album under her belt, has been mentored by Troy Kingi, opened for Hollie Smith and  performed her original music as a part of the Chengdu International Sister Cities Music Festival in China. Lehali has just released a brand new single titled Company, but, after a brief chat we are treated to another Lehali original titled Venus and the Moon.
