KSJE On The Road
Riverfest in Farmington officially kicked off at Berg Park with opening ceremonies featuring speeches from Mayor Nate Duckett, Parks and Recreation Director Natalie Spruell, and organizers from the River Reach Foundation. The event celebrates Farmington’s 125th anniversary, the River Reach Foundation’s 40th anniversary, and the community’s connection to the Animas River through parks, recreation, arts, food, and live entertainment. Throughout the weekend, visitors can enjoy local vendors, live music, raft rides, wiener dog races, art exhibits, and family-friendly activities while taking advantage of free shuttle services and community events. Organizers also highlighted Memorial Day celebrations and Farmington’s recognition as a Purple Heart community, encouraging residents and visitors to honor veterans while enjoying the holiday weekend festivities.
