My Husband Grew Up Amish: Life After Suspenders Begins

Life After Suspenders begins with a story really close to home - my husband's journey growing up Amish!  With twists, struggles and joys of leaving and starting over in a whole new world. When I first met him at a small town bar night, I had no idea how little time he'd spent outside of a life ruled by churches, suspenders and strictly forbidden shots of whiskey.  In this first episode my Ex Amish Husband and I dive into: -What his Amish childhood looked like. -The simple joys in and out of the community.  -His great escape!  This is much more than just a story, it's the beginning of a conversation about identity, worlds colliding and finding your own path even when born onto a one way road.  Stick around awhile and you'll see that he is not alone. He is one of many whom have fled from an Amish lifestyle and chased a life they were taught to ignore.
