Little Lantern Stories
This week, Lele runs outside one magical night and discovers a sky full of stars… But while most people simply saw tiny lights…one little boy in Ancient China noticed something different. The stars were moving. More than 1,800 years ago, a curious boy named Zhang Heng kept looking up at the sky…asking questions other people ignored. And one day, those questions would help him change how people understood the world. MINI PARENT GUIDE * Before you listen: Step outside together tonight - even for 30 seconds - and ask: “Can you notice three different things in the sky?” A cloud shape…a colour…a tiny movement… This helps children slow down, observe, and enter the story world before the episode begins. * During listening: There is no need to explain everything immediately. This episode is designed to develop: 🌟 observation🌟 patience🌟 imagination🌟 quiet thinking Sometimes the most important learning begins when children are simply allowed to notice. * After listening: Ask: “What is one ordinary thing Zhang Heng noticed that other people ignored?” Or simply: “What is something small YOU noticed today?” Because curiosity often begins with very small observations. And sometimes…the children who notice quietly today…grow into the thinkers who change tomorrow.
