Little Pieces Club
Please note if you don’t already have one, this episode is best consumed with a journal to work on the solitude prompts. This week, after a brief review, we begin to look at the second of two special skills within the Good Shepherd concept. This week we look at the process of grief. This episode is longer than usual so that we can properly give this topic it’s proper treatment. We link the neurobiology of the fighter flight nervous system and reactions to trauma. We also bring together topics of the six negative emotions and how allowing ourselves to feel all of those emotions allows us to get to a point where we grow after our grief. remember that the idea of Kavod is the weight of character born of suffering while staying loyal to God. This is in contrast to the idea of acceptance where we are stuck in ongoing negativity due to some traumatic experience or significant unfulfilled expectation. We go through a structure that begins with the greatest blessings to help us ask questions that will move ourselves through the grieving process. Each one can be contextualized or changed to fit each person‘s individual circumstances. These are just examples to help people understand the concepts.
