Despite my efforts to be a wife in a monogamous relationship for the first time in my life, I moved back to Lima and gave up my modeling career in Europe to become a mother. My husband, however, turned out not to be the “ideal” partner, doing whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted, to such an extreme extent that I couldn’t handle it anymore. The wedding that never was and the marriage that did (come to fruition)

My life partner, Fred Chandon, decided that he wanted to marry me, despite my being completely unaware of it. However, when he asked my father for my hand in marriage, my father decided that, because Fred admitted to having had a vasectomy, he was “certain Susy would like to have children.” It was a conversation I knew nothing about at the time. The only person who overheard it was my brother, who told me about it many years later.
