Med School or Not?
I spent six months working in the thoracic surgery ICU Step-Down Unit, and in this episode, I take a moment to reflect on it all — the mess, the magic, and the mistakes. I chat about what my role as a Patient Care Associate (PCA) involves in this high-pressure, fast-paced environment, while weaving in powerful patient experiences that have left a lasting mark on me, memories I’ll carry for life. This was undoubtedly the most challenging yet rewarding experience I've ever had. From 12-hour shifts to watching a patient walk again, I witnessed what true optimism, endurance, and courage look like. -- Hosting provided by SoundOn [https://www.soundon.fm/]
