Meeting Musos
Born and raised in Coventry, Tom studied Biochemistry at Imperial College London. Since graduating in 2004 he has worked extensively as a musical director and keyboard player on theatre shows, both in London and across the UK. Tom’s theatre credits include the UK tours ofHi-de-HiandJoseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat(as Musical Director),Priscilla Queen of the Desert,ScroogeandCabaret(as Assistant Musical Director),The Sound of Music(Children's Musical Director) and Associate Musical Director onThe Sound of Musicwhich toured to Jordan. Tom's pantomime credits includeMother GooseandBabes in the Wood(Pomegranate, Chesterfield),Aladdin: A Wish Come True(Theatre at the O2, starring Paul O'Grady) andJack and the Beanstalk,Peter Pan,CinderellaandSnow White and the Seven Dwarvesfor UK Productions at the Assembly Hall, Tunbridge Wells. As keyboard player:Les Miserables(Queen's Theatre, London)Cinderella(Hackney Empire) and the UK tours ofBlood Brothers,Half a Sixpence,Waterloo,Mad About the MusicalsandGotta Sing Gotta Dance, as well asCatsandThe Wizard of Ozfor the Larnaca International Festival in Cyprus. Tom has worked extensively as a pianist and musical director on the London cabaret circuit and has tickled the ivories at many prestigious venues such as Cafe de Paris, Crazy Coqs, the Grill Room at the Cafe Royal, The Pheasantry and the Savoy Hotel. He is also musical director for Champagne Charlie and the Bubbly Boys, a 1920/30s style dance band.
