episode Confronting Systemic Racism and Healing Racial Trauma with David Archer, MSW, MFT cover

Confronting Systemic Racism and Healing Racial Trauma with David Archer, MSW, MFT

By far this is one of the most interesting and informative conversations I've encountered. We discuss how racism has played a major role in the Black Community and has caused racial trauma, stress, PTSD, but he also gives you the flip side of the coin. HEALING & OVERCOMING! I'll advise you to listen to interview in its entirety and by all means purchase his books.   David Archer, MSW, MFT, is an anti-racist psychotherapist from Montreal, Canada. Anti-Racist Psychotherapy is an approach designed to clarify the mental health effects of racism and provide a neuroscience-informed approach to resolve racial trauma. His areas of interest relate to working with individuals who have suffered from PTSD, racial trauma, minority stress, addictions, and eating disorders. Mr. Archer is an ally of LGBTQ, Black, Indigenous, and oppressed people of color around the world.  His Books Include: Anti-Racist Psychotherapy: Confronting Systemic Racism and Healing Racial Trauma and  Black Meditation: Ten Practices for Self-Care, Mindfulness, and Self-Determination, which can be purchased on all major platforms. episode Support and Laughter cover

Support and Laughter

I decided to make some changes for 2022. I want engagement and for everyone you to get something out the podcast. However I want to add laughter everything doesn't have to be so serious. We're some of the funniest people and have the best sense of humor. NOT ALL! But OMG look at the comedians, some of the best. This is a serious task I’ve taken on "stopping the shame and stigma of mental illness".  I’m going to give it my all but I need your support. I don't mean financial, I need you to listen to the podcast, join FB Group, following me on social media, and subscribing to my free monthly newsletter. The more listeners and followers the more POWER we have to make changes. #amentalmovement * https://www.facebook.com/groups/mentallyinpajamas [https://www.facebook.com/groups/mentallyinpajamas] * Instagram: @mentallyinpjs * Twitter: @PajamasDay * Email: evespajamasallday@gmail.com [evespajamasallday@gmail.com] * https://evespajamasallday.wixsite.com
