What is the real stuff of conversion? We are often told that conversion is pure joy and very pleasant. But is that the biblical norm? This morning we will look at the call of Saul and see how difficult this conversion experience was, and why that is encouraging for us. We will also look at the sort of courage it took for the Christian community to embrace Paul and help him in this difficult, but transformative time in his life.

The tendency to label people is not one of our best human traits, but we all seem to do it. Thomas has been labelled a doubter for over 2000 years. Is this fair? Sure Thomas had his faults, but didn't all the disciples? and are they still known solely for the the things they struggled with? God is not a God who is stuck on old labels, He is a God who makes new ones. Are you hung up on the bad things of your past, or on the mistakes of others, allow the story of Thomas to remind you of God's goodness and grace.

The Road to Emmaus Luke 24:13-35 - 16 April 2023

In this episode we explore the "on the road' encounter between Jesus, a follower named Cleopas, and another follower who isn't named. Jesus here challenges them and us to live by His story, reminding us that if we live by any other script or story, we will end up lost, confused, and downcast. Thanks for listening!
