16 episodesI've spent the summer tuning into my inner voice, my intuition has to lead me to stillness and movement but mostly investigation. Of everything! Being '' spirit-led '' or following my intuition has never felt so hard, mainly because we have never been exposed to so much information. The pandemic has set the scene for fear-based thinking and staying open isn't always easy. In this episode, I explore what intuition is, how I follow mine, and the stories and circumstances that I know intuition has influenced. The two books I mention in the Podcast are ; The more beautiful world that our hearts know is possible by Charles Eisenstein Intuition: The Highest Rung Of the Ladder of Consciousness - Osho And there is a book that I did not mention but listened to while writing this, it was: Intuition and The Mystical Life by Caroline Myss and Clarissa Pinkola NB - Given these divisive and sensitive times, I would live to make it explicitly clear that this episode is about the exploration of intuition in the age of fear. It can be applied to many subjects but feels relevant now. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices [https://megaphone.fm/adchoices]
When thunderstruck at the start of this recording I knew we would be in for a ride. I spoke with my friend, Giselle LeBleu Gant about being an artist and a woman in these times. She opened up about falling out of love with America and into hope and Joy with Ghana and Uganda. We found ourselves laughing through languish as we searched for the words to describe how we rise from the ashes and find ourselves. There are a few audio glitches in this ep, but I think the stories will carry you through. Giselle is an Actor, writer, and Teacher. She lives between California and Ghana Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices [https://megaphone.fm/adchoices]
In part two of our conversation, Sian opens up about the call to action she felt in 2020 during the Black Lives Matter Movement. We talk about finding compassion, white privilege, meeting people where they are, and the importance of action and speaking up. Sian also shares stories from her childhood that shaped who she is. Really enjoyed this vulnerable exploration. thello De’Souza-Hartley is a mixed media artist based in London. His artistic mediums include photography, film, performance, sound, drawing, and painting. He received an MA in Fine Art from Camberwell College of the Arts and previously studied photography at Central St Martins. Othello’s work explores identity, emotions, masculinity, gender, and the changing perception of the black body. I sat down to speak with Othello on a blustery Friday morning, he shared tender stories of his family life that made me understand him a little more. His creative Mother encouraged him to explore art and stay open and his Dad taught him about attention to detail and quality work. Unfortunately, in 2020 Othello lost his Dad to Covid-19, we talk about how his untimely passing inspired him to ensure he lives his life to the fullest. We also discuss being visible and invisible in the UK, creating work in Uganda, and not waiting for outside approval or acceptance as a creative.
