On this episode, I open up with a hot take on why racists are racist; “One Night in Miami” by Regina King; The depiction of the complexities of Malcolm X. I use the Sam Cook “Boston Story” to talk about professional entertainers and the difference between killers and headliners. I share stories of seeing Joe Clair and David Allen Greer and Seymore Swan. I talk about the racism that Barrack Obama on the campaign trail in an excerpt of a story from “The Promise Land” which explained the switching of the Obama voter to the Trump voter. I relate this to my experience with a boss who was both supportive and who was the most racist toward me, I start to explore how the patriarchy hurts both men and women, appropriation of body positivity from cultures that have always celebrated their thickness, discuss the two types of people, those who want to save their loved ones no matter the cost and those who think about protecting their inheritance, Republicans are worried about deficits but I don’t think that there should be no concerns about the deficit when it comes to saving Americans; we discuss kids with IEPs and going to kids birthday parties and the fact that my wife wouldn’t let me drop off my son at kid parties and leave. I end with a tip on how to figure out a woman’s age by her heel size
