Sonny and Masashi first met years ago while playing rugby together at Macalester College. Later, when Masashi was attending UCLA Film School, he called Sonny about an audition looking for a Japanese actor — a moment that planted the seed for Sonny’s acting career in Hollywood. Masashi went on to direct several films and today works as a consultant in the film and entertainment industry, advising on projects and sharing his experience from both the creative and business sides of filmmaking.
