OurToba Film Chats
In this episode we chat with Lara Rae about working in a writers room, creative vulnerability, writer's block, and so many other insights on television and comedy. It was recorded at a live zoom event in November 2021. Lara Rae is a writer and comedian, best known as the co-founder and artistic director of the Winnipeg Comedy Festival for 19 years! She's written for TV, radio and theatre, including 3 Canadian Comedy Award nominations and a Gemini Award nomination for her work on Little Mosque on the Prairie. She's frequently worked with CBC as a performer on The Debaters and columnist. After this episode, we'll be taking a brief break from our biweekly releasing schedule to record some new episodes! We'll be having panel chats with folks in camera, sound, and other specialties so keep an eye and ear out for that.
