Description

If there were an acronym that every service member transitioning/retiring from service should know it's VR&E (previously known as VOCREHAB). This is an employment program that gives significant educational benefits, 36 months of additional schooling with a stipend on top of your GI Bill! In fact, the VR&E 36 months of school are separate and distinct from your GI Bill so you can save your GI Bill for your family and use the VR&E benefits for yourself. Now, what the VA doesn't tell you is that while the barrier to entitlement into the VR&E program is low (20% service-connected disability with an employment handicap), most attempts to be found entitled to VR&E are unsuccessful. Follow this short episode and unlock your VR&E benefits! Please review the VA.GOV Veteran Readiness & Employment (VR&E) website below for detailed information concerning the benefits available to transitioning/retiring service members who are found entitled. https://www.benefits.va.gov/vocrehab/ [https://www.benefits.va.gov/vocrehab/]
