The Anchor that Formed Me
Life can feel unstable when fear rises, plans fall apart, and waiting on God becomes painful. In this message from our Anchors series, we look at the story of Hagar in Genesis 16 and discover the heart of a God who meets people in the wilderness. Through her story, we’re reminded that God is not distant, detached, or indifferent to our pain. He is the God who sees, the God who hears, and the One who can hold the full weight of our lives.
Lock In
Life can feel unstable when plans change, pressure rises, and the future feels uncertain. In the opening message of our Anchors series, we’re reminded that what we’re locked into determines what holds us. Through Isaiah 55:8-9 and Proverbs 3:5-7, this message invites us to trust God’s higher perspective, surrender our limited understanding, and anchor our lives in the truth that God sees more than we see, knows what we don’t know, and is working through us for a greater purpose.
Walk Humbly
Justice and mercy begin with humility. When we walk humbly with God, we remember that we are recipients of grace before we are dispensers of it.
Love Mercy
Justice confronts wrongdoing, but mercy restores people. Mercy is choosing compassion when punishment would be easier.
Do Justice
Justice isn’t just a political issue or cultural conversation. It is a command from God. When we pursue justice, we reflect the heart of God for people who are overlooked, oppressed, or forgotten.
