Description

Are you so busy serving God that you have forgotten how to simply be with Him? In this message, Presence Over Activity, Scott teaches from the story of Mary and Martha in Luke 10:38–42. Martha was busy preparing and serving, but Mary chose to sit at the feet of Jesus. Her example reminds us that spiritual activity can never replace personal intimacy with God. This message explores how busyness, anxiety, distraction, ministry expectations, technology, and constant activity can pull our attention away from what matters most. You will also learn practical ways to make time with God your first priority—even if you begin with only ten minutes each morning. In this message: - Why serving Jesus can sometimes distract us from Jesus - What Mary and Martha teach us about spiritual priorities - How busyness contributes to anxiety and burnout - Why time with God should be your “A1” - How to create a simple daily rhythm with Jesus - What it means to carry the presence and fragrance of God You cannot fill your cup while you are running with it. Stop, become still, and allow God to fill you again. episode Alignment Sounds Like Surrender artwork

Alignment Sounds Like Surrender

In this message from Luke 22:39–46, we look at Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane and learn what true surrender sounds like. Jesus prayed, “Not my will, but yours be done.” This is one of the hardest prayers any follower of Christ can pray. It is easy to trust God when His will matches ours, but surrender begins when His will leads us somewhere we would not choose on our own. This sermon explores how prayer is not about convincing God to align with us, but about allowing our hearts to align with Him. Through Jesus’ example, we learn that alignment is honest, alignment chooses trust, and alignment receives strength. If you are walking through something difficult, asking God to remove the cup, or struggling to surrender control, this message will encourage you to trust the Father’s will and receive His strength.   Scripture: Luke 22:39–46 Message Theme: Prayer, surrender, trust, alignment, obedience Sermon Title: Alignment Sounds Like Surrender NEXT STEPS Ask for prayer, connect with a pastor, or let us know you made a decision to follow Jesus: https://passionqc.church/info [https://passionqc.church/info] Give a financial gift to support what God is doing through Passion Church: https://passionqc.church/give [https://passionqc.church/give] Download the Passion Church app to stay connected, follow along with messages, give, and receive church updates: https://passionqc.church/app [https://passionqc.church/app] Subscribe so you don’t miss future messages from Passion Church. ⸻ CONNECT WITH PASSION CHURCH Website: https://passionqc.church [https://passionqc.church] Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/passionqc [http://www.facebook.com/passionqc] Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/passionqc [http://www.instagram.com/passionqc] Passion Church exists to make Christ followers that are transformed by God’s Spirit and Truth. Persistent Doesn’t Mean Misaligned

Have you ever wondered if God is listening when your prayers seem to go unanswered? In Luke 18:1–8, Jesus tells the Parable of the Persistent Widow to remind His followers to always pray and never give up. This message explores what persistent prayer really means—and why God's delays should never be mistaken for His absence. In this sermon you'll discover: • Why persistent prayer isn't about convincing God • The difference between God's delay and God's distance • Why waiting doesn't mean you're outside God's will • How God develops enduring faith through seasons of waiting • Practical encouragement for anyone facing unanswered prayer Whether you're praying for healing, provision, restoration, direction, or someone you love to know Jesus, this message will encourage you to keep trusting the God who already hears you. If this message encouraged you, be sure to share it with someone who needs hope today.

Most of Us Don’t Know How to Pray

What did Jesus really mean when He taught His disciples to pray? In Luke 11:1-4, the disciples asked a simple but powerful question: "Lord, teach us to pray." In this message, we discover that prayer is far more than asking God for things. Prayer aligns our hearts with God's will, deepens our dependence on Him, and leads us into greater surrender. In this sermon you'll learn: • Why many Christians know prayers but don't truly know prayer • The real purpose of the Lord's Prayer • Why weak prayers often come from a small view of God • What Jesus meant by "Your Kingdom Come" • The difference between daily bread and weekly bread • How prayer transforms our desires to match God's will Scripture: Luke 11:1-4 If this message encouraged you, be sure to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who wants to grow in their prayer life.
