Kensington In Crisis: An Interview with the Filmmakers Behind the Story of a Philadelphia Neighborhood's Battle with the Opioid Epidemic

Jill Frechie and John Ricciutti, with Radnor-based Main Line Television, were used to shooting videos for family-friendly events like the Devon Horse Show. But in 2019, their documentary, "Kensington In Crisis," chronicling the opioid epidemic and its hard-hitting effects in one Philadelphia neighborhood, forever changed them. With footage that is both shocking and scary, Frechie and Ricciutti set out to tell the story of the epidemic that has no vaccine. Now, during the COVID-19 pandemic and long after the shooting of their documentary, Frechie and Ricciutti say that those struggling with this addiction are more vulnerable than ever. Their next project? Well, you'll want to tune in if you like "The Irishman," "Casino" "Goodfellas" or are just interested in mafia life and true crime. Thanks for listening!
