The plays got past the religious police. The Tudors had to speak for themselves because everyone else is a witting or unwitting propagandist for the Pope.

Elizabeth styled herself on her mother. She was Anne Boleyn 2.0. Both women were fighters. Both were existentialists.

Princess Elizabeth was robbed of a mother. As queen, she exacted revenge on the Catholic Church. Her actions forced the Pope to act against her. She was ex-communicated. Pope Pius V made record of Elizabeth's revenge.

The meaning of Great Whore explained. In 2006 the God delusion debate went viral. In 2010 militant atheist Stephen Hawking entered the fray. The cosmologist vouched for Dawkins and ended up vindicating Anne Boleyn.

Witchcraft or Science

On May 15th of 1536 the plot against Anne Boleyn surfaced in the Great Hall of the Tower of London. The first of 4 charges was that she practised witchcraft. Her accusers had no better way of expressing the existential threat they perceived.
