Pulp Reader returns after an extended hiatus. Pulp Reader has a new direction with a focus on audio fiction from host Bobby D. Lux mixed in with classic stories from the old pulps. This episode is the first story from Mustache Petes: The Morelli Mafia Stories. Written and performed by the author Vinnie and Ernie Morelli are a pair of low-level mafia goons who find themselves taking a break on a job at at roadside diner in the middle of nowhere.... Our story today is from a writer known to all pulp and fantasy fans. Robert E. Howard is best known for creating Conan the Barbarian. He was also a prolific writer who wrote stories in nearly every genre imaginable. Howard committed suicide at the age of only thirty, but left behind a fiction legacy that shows no signs of slowing after nearly a century following his passing.
