#22 A Step In The Path Of Value

Hello everyone. Welcome to the twenty-second installment of my creative world that I call Resonance Reflection Photography. My name is Marcel Comeau, and I'm a landscape photographer based in Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Each week I post my work online for the world to see and enjoy. This week's featured photo was taken out at the Little Qualicum Falls. Located outside of Coombs on highway 4, this water source is a tremendous location to stop and admire. The day that I got there was perfect. The winter season decided to sprinkle it's beauty over the fantastic landscape, giving a thoroughly immersive winter experience that I've personally missed while being on Vancouver Island. Now don't get me wrong, I can live without having to deal with snow for several months, but being so used to having the white, powdery stuff on the ground has been interesting for me since what I've mostly seen this season was green grass and the occasional rainfall. Regardless, I felt ecstatic to have come to this landscape and get the opportunity to capture some of the beauty that the winter season has to offer. One of the highlights out of the cold, frosty season is the sheer silence you get with the snowfall filtering the sound around you. That paired with the river flowing beside me created a workspace that I could have spent all day immersed in. I took the time to capture the waterfall that's nearby, took a walk down alongside the river, and eventually got back to my car, and continued my journey towards my travel adventure. Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to me, and I hope to hear from you soon. Take care. Hello everyone. Welcome to the twenty-first installment of my creative world that I call Resonance Reflection Photography. My name is Marcel Comeau, and I'm a landscape photographer based in Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Each week I post my work online for the world to see and enjoy. This week's featured photo was taken out in on the beautiful coastline of the West side of the island, more specifically out in the Pacific Rim National Park. I've visited this park almost a dozen times now, and everytime that I explore this wondrous piece of paradise, I always leave with a big smile on my face and a completely refreshed headspace. The stunning rainforests that follow alongside the coastal lines of the area are breathtaking. The trees are immense, the growth is thick, and the colors are vibrant and full of life. One of my favorite places to go is Schooner Cove. You get to walk through the dense forest on a boardwalk, immersed by the energy of the landscape. As you get closer to the shoreline, you start hearing the ocean hitting the beach. Then a new scent hits your nose, and your eyes open up to the vast view of the Pacific ocean. I get chills just thinking about that reaction I get when I get to see the water. The soft sandy beaches span as far as the eyes can see, and for all the times that I've been fortunate to experience the west coast, the weather has always been fair to me, especially for the sunset that I got to capture in this photo. Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to me, and I hope to hear from you soon. Take care. #20 The Vitality Of The Mental Framework

Hello everyone. Welcome to the twentieth installment of my creative world that I call Resonance Reflection Photography. My name is Marcel Comeau, and I'm a landscape photographer based in Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Each week I post my work online for the world to see and enjoy. This week's photo was taken out in Sooke while I was heading out to explore some of the beautiful coastal views the area has to offer. I was filming boats in the water for my travel vlog when I noticed the wooden landscape behind me and just how beautiful it was. It was in the summertime, so the colors were vibrant and full of life. I ended up admiring a composition that was behind the camera. When I was done filming the shot, I turned the camera around and took the photo that ended making it on the internet. I find myself at times where an opportunity presents itself with little to no warning. I had an agenda for the day, and nowhere throughout my plans did I have the intentions of taking photographs of the dense forests that lay alongside the south-west side of the island. Now I never eliminate the idea of straying away from my initial task, because in the case like this moment and many moments throughout life, opportunities come and go, it's what you make of it that creates an outcome. The effects can be small, or monumental for the course of your future. Always stay receptive to opportunities, you never know when they can appear. episode #19 The Present Moment Is Yours artwork
#19 The Present Moment Is Yours

Hello everyone. Welcome to the nineteenth installment of my creative world that I call Resonance Reflection Photography. My name is Marcel Comeau, and I'm a landscape photographer based in Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Each week I post my work online for the world to see and enjoy. This week's photo was taken out in Sooke in the summertime season. The smell of the ocean has always been a pleasure of mine ever since I was a young boy. The weather was gorgeous there was no wind, no rain, the sun was slowly setting down behind the horizon, and I was left with a small beach to myself. I had spent the day taking photography throughout the south-western regions of the island, so the relaxing atmosphere became a great tone to end my day. My mind slowed down and connected to all that was present in my proximity. I listened to the water softly roll over the shore. The birds would occasionally pass by, chirping and talking to other birds within the area. The soft sand felt great under my feet as I walked towards a tree that was laying down on the rocks. I sat down on the tree trunk and processed the view that spaned in front of me. The mountains across the water were gorgeous with the soft sunset lighting laying over them. Moments like this are precious to me. I make an effort to engage with the present as much as possible. The likelihood of experiencing this exact moment is questionable. Anything can happen to me at any given point. That's a reality that took a good deal of time to comprehend. Our time on this plane of existence is rather short, but there are instances we forget that fact for various reasons associated with our busy lives. Embrace moments as they come, enjoy the experiences that go with them, and try your best to acknowledge that time is fleeting, and so does the light of consciousness that's embedded within us. Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to me, and I hope to hear from you soon. Take care. episode #18 The Process Of Purpose artwork
#18 The Process Of Purpose

Hello everyone. Welcome to the eighteenth installment of my creative world that I call Resonance Reflection Photography. My name is Marcel Comeau, and I'm a landscape photographer based in Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Each week I post my work online for the world to see and enjoy. This week's photo was taken out late in the fall season at Englishman River Falls. I visited the area early in the middle of the summer, and my last recollection of the beautiful landscape was a lovely waterfall that had a soothing soundtrack alongside the visual pleasures of the rich forest that surrounds it. Fast forward to November, and the same scenery changed dramatically. The gentle waterfall I recalled became an immense powerhouse of a water source surging down into the river below. I was taken back by how much volume of water was falling within a location that initially was a completely different entity altogether just a few months ago. It's one of the many faces of nature that we're privileged to witness. As the season's change so does the energy within spaces we explore. The vibrancy of the spring and summer season disappears as the fall and winter weather takes its course. The dynamics we experience throughout the year are remarkable. We get to watch various forms of life change and adapt to the climate as it progresses from one pattern to the next. The example of one of the pleasures I get from doing landscape photography is having the ability to visit a location more than once but see a different pallet of nature to capture. The versatility and eternal progression nature produces provides another incentive among many for my creative journey to continue. Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to me, and I hope to hear from you soon. Take care.
