The Idols We Worship

The story of Elijah is a a dynamic life of a normal man who was faithful to God, and bold in speaking against the evils of the day. His ministry revolved around removing the worship of idols and false gods that Israel had adopted, so that they would return to worship the one true God alone.

Worship Is Death

When you worship God, you give up your old self and your old desires. You die to your old self in order to be raised into a new life with Christ.

Worship Is War

We are in Spiritual Warfare, and the enemy is after our worship.

As we wrap up our series on Easter Sunday, the story of Joshua points us to the Resurrection of Christ in an amazing way. This teaches us to do the same with our own life.

Word spreads among the northern cities and kingdom of the Promised land. Their advanced and very large military power seems to give them the upper hand. Victory didn't come through a visible miracle, but through sustained obedience.
