Silent Grief Podcast
Christians often are attacked for grieving. We are told that our faith is weak, that we are bitter, or that God had some marvelous plan for our child and somehow we are supposed to be excited about the fact that our child is no longer with us. Here's an important point: It's okay to grieve! We will shout it from the rooftop: "It's okay to grieve." It's absurd to expect people to not grieve just because they believe in heaven. It's unfair to ask grieving parents to park their sadness and pretend like they are happy after the trauma of child loss. There is no timeline for grief. If parents are still grieving decades after losing their child, that's OK. Grief is something that helps us to process the tremendous loss. Being a Christian doesn't magically take away the sadness.
