Beskrivelse

So over the last few days I've seen a re-emergence of a few classic tracks from the Noughties - Such as Darude's classic, Sandstorm, and 4 String's trancey classic "Take Me Away". I thought to myself that I'd love to compile a mix of some of my favourite noughties tracks; including some long-forgotten favourites, including one of my absolute favourites that takes me back to heartache of my university days - Roger Sanchez's brilliant "Another Chance". So after a quick trip down memory lane, I dug up so much, I suspect there might be a sequel to this episode in the near future! Enjoy! -Soen 1. Bob Sinclar & Gary Pine - Love Generation (Edit) 2. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Heads Will Roll (A-Trak Remix) 3. Kid Cudi - Day 'N' Nite (Explicit) 4. Romina Johnson - Movin Too Fast (radio mix) 5. iiO & Nadia Ali - Rapture (feat.Nadia Ali) 6. Martin Solveig & Dragonette - Hello 7. Safri Duo - Played-A-Live (The Bongo Song) (Radio Edit) 8. Sam and the Womp - Bom Bom (Radio Edit) 9. Duck Sauce;A-Trak;Armand Van Helden - Barbra Streisand (UK Radio Edit) 10. Laurent Wolf - No Stress 11. Southside Spinners - Luvstruck 12. Roger Sanchez - Another Chance

episode Sinewave Radio 054: Back To It [Progressive, Melodic, Vocal House] cover

Sinewave Radio 054: Back To It [Progressive, Melodic, Vocal House]

Sometimes I create a mix and then sit on it for a few days and listen to it back a few times to make sure it's good enough quality before I put it out into the public realm. But this is exceptional; originally recorded on the 1st of February, I've sat on this mix for a good 6 weeks, in between being too busy, uploading it and then forgetting to publish it, and all sorts of shenanigans! But here it is, episode 54 of Sinewave Radio, which I'm dedicating to my brother, Danny, as he reminded me the other day if I was ever going to do another mix 😂 And then it twigged that I hadn't actually uploaded my last one! 🤦‍♂️ So this mix is a rich, melodic, down-low, bass-ey mixture of remixes and covers; sometimes remixes and covers can be awful, but hopefully you'll agree with the songs I've chosen - Tracks that not only take the original track but enhance it, or give it a unique twist. Anyway, hopefully it won't be too long for the next mix! Hope you have an amazing day Soen

episode Sinewave Radio 053: Sorrow and Happiness [Progressive, Melodic House] cover

Sinewave Radio 053: Sorrow and Happiness [Progressive, Melodic House]

After taking a 4 month hiatus, I'm back with a fresh new mix of some of my absolute favourite progressive house tracks along with some new tracks I've heard over the summer and at festivals dotted around the world. This episode is dedicated to a close friend of mine, legendary DJ Lee Harris who passed away in August this year. His passing hit me particularly hard, to the point where it actually put me off DJing for a while. Lee was an absolute pillar of the London nightlife scene; his DJing brought joy and happiness to thousands of people every week, and I have no doubt that Lee entertained millions of people over the course of his life, his talent and enthusiasm for music was infectious and was one of the people who inspired me to start my DJing career. We used to trade memes almost every day on Facebook, and every so often I see one and I think "Lee would have loved this"; we shared a very similar sense of humour. And for a moment, I feel sorrow, but then I remember my heart is full of happiness for all the times I got to share with Lee - Which inspires this podcast's title, Sorrow Then Happiness. This episode is full of emotive songs, the lyrics often reflecting on my journey, on my thoughts of Lee - Especially the song "Diamonds" by Tinlicker - The lyric "I'm no good next to diamonds" - Reminds me of how I feel about my DJing skill compared to Lee... And Lee definitely was a diamond, both in and out of the DJ booth. Until next time, stay safe, Soen
