A week after our daughters’ Moving Up Ceremony, we were notified that their school closing its doors for good.   The shock was felt throughout the school, from the teachers down to the parents like us. It left everyone dumbfounded and scrambling to figure out what was next. As you can imagine, immediate stress for everyone involved. Still taking in the chaos, Jonathan and Stephanie walk through their mindset once they received the news and discuss what is next for the academic life of our two girls and the uncertainty added to ours. Kid Burnout?

In this episode, Stephanie and Jonathan discuss the possibility of burning out their kids.  With the girls doing a number of after school activities at a young age, when do we (or the girls) say that's enough.   We reflect back when we were kids, what activities we were in and the amount of times we fought to not do them anymore.  Are we doing the same thing with our girls? Are we forcing them into too many things? We risk them being overly tired for school, and resentment from them asking for a break. Allowing "Me Time" For Your Spouse

This week on SWTS we discuss the importance of giving your spouse the time they need for themselves.  Coming off our previous episode talking about self-care, we go through the difficulties that could arise when you have children, or when life just gets in the way, and how your spouse could help.  Its not always easy but when you have a supportive spouse or partner its best to do what you can for a mental break or activities. A new addition to the family

We are back, and we start off the new year with the introduction of a new member of the family, our new dog Tsuna! We go over the events, which lead to us (mainly Steph) adopting a new dog. We also finally give overview of what happened to Tito, and why it was so tough for us to talk about.  We miss him dearly, and are so thankful he was loved so much!  So grab your Champagne (or any drink you wish) and start off the new year with some fireworks and dog kisses!
