episode What We NOT Gonna DO artwork

What We NOT Gonna DO

Happy Juneteenth SOUL Vibrant Fam! Some people have so much to say about how we choose to celebrate, uplift, or protect ourselves. The last thing we need to do is police ourselves. Reflecting on current events, the conversation asks what are we going to do, need to, or should be doing. For this week's episode, I want to talk about what we NOT gonna do moving forward as Black folks. We, the Black Community, must accept some hard truths if we want to create change and progress as a people. *The thunderstorm is a paid actor lol* Podcast intro produced by: Leem Lizzy @leemlizzy Musical highlight artists: Kes Social- @kesthebandofficial Goyo & Zaider Social-@goyo @zaidermusic Please support SOUL Vibrant Podcast by: 1 .Donate to PayPal : https://www.paypal.me/Queenladyac [https://www.paypal.me/Queenladyac] CashApp: $ACSoulVibrant 2. Live From The Sista Circle pt. 2

The Sister Circle is defined as a gathering of women/femmes who come together for support, open dialogue, and connection. By sharing personal experiences and challenges, these spaces curate trust, empowerment, and understanding. But in adulthood, some find it challenging to find or build such environments. Let me help you out by reintroducing you to mine. Me and my Girls are back in today's episode, expressing the importance of the group chat, "kiki'in", and the ultimate safe space of the sister circle. Join us as we dive deeper into the value of these spaces that shape our Growth, Identity, and Well-being. Podcast intro produced by: Leem Lizzy @leemlizzy Musical highlight artists: Rapsody ft. episode Thank GOD I'm Fat artwork

Thank GOD I'm Fat

"Nothing I accept about myself can be used against me to diminish me - Audre Lorde" The most radical act a person can do is to fully love themselves in a world that tells them not to. Being Black, fat, and a woman, society tried to convince me, in so many ways, to hate myself. Being transparent, it almost succeeded. My healing journey wouldn't be effective unless I learned to love my Fatness. It defines so much of my identity that accepting it led to my own liberation. Aspects since childhood that once brought me shame or anguish are now sources of my protection, spiritual knowing, and resilience. As the Class of 2026 celebrates its accomplishments, I'm inspired to reflect on my own milestones. For today's episode, I proudly proclaim what I love most about being fat. episode For the Love of Patriarchy artwork

For the Love of Patriarchy

Pursuing Love should not be a death sentence. However, under patriarchy, this is one of the aspects it guarantees. Love, care, and emotional well-being cannot exist within this oppressive system. Yet, it lies to men and boys, raising them to believe that violence, dominance, and control are the best ways to shape their identities to achieve those things in life. Tragically, women, nonbinary individuals, and children pay the cost, and ironically, men do as well. It's deeper than behavioral patterns, mental health, and any other deterrent used to dismiss this reality. It's time to expose patriarchy for its shapeshifting ways. Tune in to learn the known and hidden ways that patriarchy impacts our capabilities to love, connect, and liberate. Book and Articles recommendation 1.
