Hurricane Katrina

I was living in Mississippi when Katrina took place. At the time I was recording this we didn’t know what this hurricane was to become. This was recorded on the back porch of my home.

During my visit to Izmir I stopped at a friend’s home and visited for a while. The call to prayer started and I thought it would be a great time to hear what a more residential area of the city sounded like. During my visit to Turkey in April of 2008 we stayed at a quiet little hotel in the main city. There were businesses and homes around the area. I enjoyed the fact that I could open the windows to hear what was going on around me. You don’t get that in most U.S. Hotels. – Enjoy
