Family of 18-year-old found dead on Horn Island hires prominent civil rights attorney

The family of Nolan Wells, the 18-year-old found death on Horn Island on Monday, has hired civil rights attorney Ben Crump to look into the young man's death. Wells is reported to have gone out to the island with a group of friends on the 4th of July, but did not return with them. In the meantime, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office is calling on those who were at Horn Island on Saturday to come forward with any evidence that could assist their assessment.

Natchez store employee arrested for shooting three men/Four suspects in Shannon shooting were arrested after trying to break into a home

A store employee in Natchez shot three men after an altercation. He killed one and critically injured two, plus, four men in Shannon were arrested after they tried to break into a mobile home. They shot into the residence six times.
