A Texas woman accused of putting razor blades in loaves of bread at two Mississippi Gulf Coast Walmart stores has admitted guilt. 33-year-old Camille Benson has pleaded guilty to a federal charge of tampering with consumer goods. A woman is behind bars following an alleged pistol whipping incident in Tupelo. 18-year-old Malia Carpenter is accused of striking an unidentified individual with a firearm during an argument. Police say the incident happened at Gumtree Park, and ended with the victim being hospitalized.
Supreme Court upholds trans athlete ban
Mississippi is among several states with laws banning transgender women from competing on women's sports teams. Tuesday, the Supreme Court upheld state laws requiring student-athletes to compete on sports teams that correspond with their biological sex at birth rather than their gender identity.
