Good morning! Here's your Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia surf zone forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service Jacksonville. We're waking up to moderate rip current conditions across the region today, so if you're planning to get in the water, be aware and stay smart out there. The rip current risk will remain moderate through tomorrow as well. For today, expect two to three foot surf along the Northeast Florida beaches, with conditions a bit smaller down in Southeast Georgia at one to two feet. The water temperature is sitting in the lower eighties up north and around eighty degrees down south, so pretty comfortable for a summer swim. The air will be mild too, with highs reaching the mid to upper eighties, becoming upper eighties by afternoon. The sky this morning is mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers mainly in the early hours, then we'll see partial sun break through as the day progresses. There's an extreme UV index in effect, so sunscreen is definitely your friend today. The wind will be coming from the southeast at ten to fifteen miles per hour, becoming east-southeast as we head into the afternoon. Looking at the tides, we've got low tides ranging from about ten in the morning with highs arriving in the late afternoon, so plan your beach day accordingly. Tomorrow Thursday is looking excellent! We're expecting mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper eighties up north and lower nineties down south. The surf will hold at two to three feet near the Northeast Florida beaches and one to two feet down in Georgia. Rip currents remain moderate, so again, those precautions are worth taking. The wind stays light out of the south in the morning, then turns southeast around fifteen miles per hour in the late afternoon. Down in Georgia, we could see heat indices climbing up to around one hundred, so stay hydrated if you're spending the day outside. Looking ahead to Friday through Sunday, conditions become more typical for early summer. Surf heights drop to one to two feet across the board. Friday and Saturday both look mostly sunny with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, which is pretty normal for this time of year. Highs will be climbing into the lower to mid nineties. Winds stay light, primarily from the southwest. Sunday wraps up the extended period with partly sunny skies and another chance of those scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs reach around ninety degrees with light southwest winds continuing. So there you have it. Get out and enjoy these beautiful summer conditions, but remember to keep an eye out for those rip currents and slather on the sunscreen. Stay safe and have a great day at the beach! Northeast Florida Southeast Georgia Surf Forecast June 12-16 2026 Small Waves Hot Temperatures Rip Current Risk

Good morning, this is your Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia surf zone forecast for Friday, June twelfth through Tuesday, June sixteenth, twenty twenty-six. Let's start with today's conditions along the Florida coast from Nassau down through Flagler County. We're looking at small surf, one to two feet, with a moderate risk of rip currents in effect. That means life-threatening rip currents are possible in the surf zone, so swimmers and surfers should exercise caution, especially near groins, jetties, and piers where these currents tend to concentrate. The water's a comfortable seventy-seven to eighty-two degrees today. Weather-wise, expect sunny conditions until about two o'clock in the afternoon, then mostly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms developing. It'll be hot out there with highs around ninety degrees, but the heat index could climb to one hundred five. Winds start light from the west around five miles per hour, then shift to the southeast this afternoon. If you're planning a beach day, grab your sunscreen because the UV index is running very high. Looking at the Georgia beaches around Brunswick and St. Simons, conditions are quite similar. Same small one to two foot surf with a low rip current risk, though again, watch out near those structural features on the beach. Moderate thunderstorm potential is in the forecast with mostly sunny skies and a chance of afternoon showers and storms. The heat here will be slightly more intense with lows in the lower nineties and heat indices reaching up to one hundred nine degrees. Saturday brings more of the same across both regions. Expect those small one to two foot waves to persist with moderate thunderstorm potential continuing. The rip current risk remains moderate along the Florida beaches and low along the Georgia coast. Highs will be in the lower nineties with heat indices approaching one hundred seven to one hundred ten degrees depending on your location. Winds stay light, starting from the west and shifting south in the afternoon. Moving into Sunday, we're looking at mostly sunny skies with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Surf stays small at one to two feet. Highs settle in the lower nineties with southwest winds around five to ten miles per hour. Monday brings an increase in storm activity with showers and thunderstorms becoming likely. Surf conditions remain small, and highs stay in the lower nineties. By Tuesday, the trend continues with showers and thunderstorms likely as we transition toward a partly sunny day. Highs drop slightly into the upper eighties, and we'll see more southwest winds around ten miles per hour. So here's the bottom line for your week ahead. This is a great time to get in the water if you enjoy calm, small wave conditions. Just remember that moderate rip currents are possible along the Florida beaches, so be a smart swimmer and stay aware of your surroundings. Heat will be intense with heat indices consistently over one hundred degrees, so hydrate frequently and take breaks in the shade. Afternoon thunderstorms are possible every day, so keep an eye on the sky and don't ignore those storm warnings. Water temperatures remain pleasant in the upper seventies to low eighties, making for comfortable swimming. Whether you're heading to Jacksonville Beach, St. Augustine, Fernandina Beach, or down to Brunswick and St. Simons, you're in for a hot, humid week with plenty of sunshine broken up by scattered afternoon storms. Have a great beach day and stay safe out there. For more http://www.quietplease.ai Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

Good morning! Here's your Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia surf zone forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service Jacksonville. We're looking at a beautiful Thursday ahead with mostly sunny skies and moderate rip current activity along the beaches. Surfers and swimmers should be aware that life-threatening rip currents are possible in the surf zone today. Waves will be running two to three feet in Northeast Florida and around two feet down in Georgia, with light south winds becoming southeast and ramping up to around fifteen miles per hour by late afternoon. It's going to be hot out there. Expect highs in the upper eighties, but the heat index will push up to one hundred and one degrees, so make sure you're staying hydrated and applying that sunscreen. Speaking of sun protection, we've got a very high UV index today, so that sunscreen isn't optional. Water temperatures are in the lower eighties along Northeast Florida and around eighty degrees down in Georgia, so conditions are warm and inviting for a dip. Tide-wise, you'll see lows hitting around eleven o'clock in the morning at most Northeast Florida beaches, with high tides rolling in around five thirty to six o'clock in the evening. Down in Georgia, similar timing with lows around noon and highs in the early morning around six o'clock. Now looking ahead to Friday, conditions are changing up a bit. Northeast Florida will maintain moderate rip current risk, while Georgia's rip current threat drops down to low risk. Surf heights will be smaller, around two feet in Northeast Florida and one to two feet in Georgia. Expect mostly sunny skies with only a slight chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Highs will climb into the lower nineties, but here's the kicker: the heat index in Georgia could reach an impressive one hundred and ten degrees. Surf heights will be minimal at one to two feet. Temperatures will hold steady in the lower to mid nineties with southwest winds generally five to ten miles per hour. One important reminder: even when rip current risk is low, life-threatening rip currents can still occur near groins, jetties, reefs, and piers, so always exercise caution and be aware of your surroundings in the water.
