Surf Report - New Jersey Shore areas
Good morning everyone, it's Sunday June seventh and we're looking at a fantastic beach day across New Jersey and Delaware. Let's break down what Mother Nature has in store for us. TODAY looks absolutely stellar. We're expecting mostly sunny skies with just a slight chance of showers, so don't let that worry you too much. The UV index is cranked up to very high, so slather on that sunscreen before you head out. Temperatures will climb into the lower eighties, making it a perfect day to be outside. Now let's talk water conditions. Surf heights are running one to two feet across most of our beaches, with Eastern Monmouth seeing slightly larger peaks around two feet. The rip current risk is low across the board, but remember to stay alert near groins, jetties, reefs and piers where life-threatening rip currents can still occur even on low risk days. Water temperatures vary a bit depending on where you're headed. If you're hitting up Eastern Monmouth or Sandy Hook, you're looking at mid-sixties. Head down to the Coastal Ocean near Long Beach Island and you'll find upper fifties. Atlantic City and Ocean City beaches are in the upper and lower sixties respectively, while Delaware's Rehoboth Beach offers upper sixties water. Winds today are coming from the west at five to ten miles per hour, keeping things nice and calm. MONDAY brings another beautiful day but with a slight temperature dip. We're expecting sunny skies throughout, with highs in the upper sixties to lower seventies depending on your location. The rip current risk remains low and there's zero thunderstorm potential. Surf conditions stay consistent at one to two feet across most zones, with a slight uptick to around two feet in Delaware. Winds shift to the northeast at ten to fifteen miles per hour, ramping up just a touch compared to today. Sunrise tomorrow is around five twenty-six to five thirty-six depending on your beach, and sunset hangs around eight twenty-two to eight twenty-four. Whether you're planning a beach day, thinking about hitting the waves, or just want to enjoy the sand and sun, these next two days are looking phenomenal. Get out there and make the most of it.
