Description

Good morning, this is your West Central and Southwest Florida Surf Zone Forecast for Wednesday, June third through Thursday, June fourth. Starting up north in the Levy, Citrus, Hernando, and Pasco County beaches, we're looking at small surf today with heights running just one foot or less. The rip current risk stays low, though you'll want to be cautious near any groins, jetties, or piers where dangerous currents can form unexpectedly. Conditions will be partly sunny with only a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, so it should be a pretty decent beach day. East winds around twenty miles per hour will be keeping things active, and that water is sitting nicely in the mid-eighties. High temperatures will max out in the lower eighties with high UV, so definitely slather on that sunscreen. Tonight, things calm down considerably. Clouds will thin out after four in the morning, and you won't see any thunderstorms. Northeast winds drop back to fifteen to twenty miles per hour, and temperatures slide into the lower seventies. Perfect sleeping weather if you're staying beachside. Thursday shapes up to be even nicer up there. Mostly sunny skies, lighter east winds around fifteen miles per hour, and the same great water temperature. Still no thunderstorm threat, so you can plan your beach day without worrying about weather interruptions. Moving down to the Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, and Sarasota beaches including Clearwater, Saint Pete Beach, and Siesta Key, today's a bit different. We've got mostly cloudy skies with a moderate thunderstorm potential, so keep an eye on those clouds. There's a solid chance of showers and thunderstorms developing, though when they do hit, they should be manageable. Surf heights remain minimal at one foot or less with low rip current risk. Northeast winds fifteen to twenty miles per hour, water in the mid-eighties, and that same high UV index. Temperatures top out in the lower eighties. Tonight down here clears up nicely after four in the morning. The thunderstorm threat disappears entirely, and you'll get mostly clear skies by late evening. East winds stick around at fifteen to twenty miles per hour while temperatures bottom out in the lower seventies. Thursday looks fantastic with partly sunny skies and no thunderstorm threat whatsoever. Same light winds, same small surf, and perfect beach conditions all day long. Finally, down in Charlotte and Lee County beaches like Sanibel and Fort Myers Beach, today brings the highest thunderstorm potential of the entire forecast area. We're talking showers and thunderstorms likely, so this is definitely a day to keep your plans flexible. The good news is surf stays minimal and rip currents stay low, so the water itself is manageable. Northeast winds are lighter down here at ten to fifteen miles per hour, water's in the mid-eighties, and that high UV is still a factor. Highs reach the lower eighties. Tonight, the thunderstorm activity persists at a moderate level with a chance of showers and thunderstorms continuing into the overnight hours. Northeast winds pick up to fifteen to twenty miles per hour, and it stays warm in the lower seventies. Thursday sees some improvement with partly sunny skies, though there's still a moderate chance of showers and thunderstorms sticking around. East winds around fifteen miles per hour, same small surf, and temperatures in the lower eighties. Overall, it's a typical early June pattern down here with scattered activity, warm water, and small consistent surf. The farther north you go, the better the weather today. Down south, you'll want to watch for storms, but water conditions remain safe and manageable throughout the forecast period. Have a great day at the beach. West Central Southwest Florida Surf Report Sunday June 21st Sunny Beaches Calm Waves Mid Eighties Water

# West Central and Southwest Florida Surf Report - Sunday, June 21st Good morning, I'm bringing you the latest surf and beach conditions for West Central and Southwest Florida this Sunday and into Monday. Let's dive right in. Starting with the northern zones covering Cedar Key down through Port Richey, we're looking at super small surf today with waves at one foot or less. The rip current risk stays low, but remember that life-threatening rips can still pop up near groins, jetties, and piers, so keep an eye out. It's going to be mostly sunny with just a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will climb into the upper eighties with west winds running five to ten miles per hour. The water temperature is sitting in the mid eighties, so it's going to be nice and warm for a swim. We do have an extreme UV index today, so definitely grab that sunscreen before you head out. High tide at Cedar Key comes at seven forty-six in the morning, with low tide at one fifty-six in the afternoon. Moving down to the Pinellas County beaches including Clearwater and Saint Pete Beach, we've got slightly better surf conditions today at one to two feet. Again, rip current risk is low with no thunderstorm threat. It's going to be sunny out there, and temperatures will be a bit warmer, pushing into the lower nineties. Southwest winds stay light at five to ten miles per hour. Water temperature matches the north at mid eighties, and that extreme UV index means sunscreen is absolutely essential. Over on the southwest side at Charlotte and Lee County beaches, including Sanibel and Captiva, we're looking at one foot or less surf. Sunny skies, light south winds becoming westerly in the afternoon, and highs around ninety degrees. Again, low rip current risk, no thunderstorms, and that same mid-eighty water temperature. The extreme UV index continues across all zones, so protection from the sun is your priority today. Tonight across all areas, thunderstorm potential drops to none. We'll see partly cloudy to mostly clear skies with lows in the lower eighties to around eighty degrees depending on your location. Winds shift northwest and remain light. Surf stays minimal at one foot or less. Monday looks absolutely beautiful across the board. Sunny conditions everywhere with highs in the lower nineties on the south end and upper eighties up north. Rip current risk remains low with no thunderstorm activity. Surf stays at one foot or less with light southwest to west winds. The water stays warm in the mid eighties, making it perfect for getting in the water, just keep protecting that skin from that extreme UV. So here's the bottom line: we're looking at a fantastic weekend with calm, sunny conditions ideal for the beach. Surf is minimal, so if you're looking to ride waves, this isn't the time, but if you want to swim, wade, or just soak up the sun, it's going to be perfect. Just remember to slather on the sunscreen and watch for rip currents near structure like piers and jetties. Get out there and enjoy this beautiful Florida weather. Saturday Beach Forecast West Central Southwest Florida Calm Waves Sunny Skies Thunderstorm Risk Sunscreen Essential

Good morning, this is your Saturday surf zone forecast for West Central and Southwest Florida, brought to you by the National Weather Service in Tampa Bay. Let's start up north in the Cedar Key and Homosassa area. You're looking at glassy conditions today with surf right at a foot or less. The rip current risk stays low, so that's good news if you're planning a beach day. Now here's the trade off though, we've got a moderate thunderstorm potential, so keep one eye on the sky. An extreme UV index means the sun is absolutely cranking, so lather up that sunscreen. Expect mostly sunny skies with just a chance of showers and thunderstorms, highs in the mid-eighties, and west winds at ten to fifteen miles per hour keeping things pleasant. Tonight in that same area, things calm down even more. Low thunderstorm risk, light winds around five to ten miles per hour from the west, and lows dropping into the lower eighties. Pretty comfortable for an evening beach walk. Moving down to the Clearwater and Saint Pete Beach zone, we've got slightly bigger waves today at one to two feet, which is a bit more exciting than up north. The rip current risk is still low during the day, and thunderstorm potential is also low here. It's going to be hot though, with highs near ninety degrees and mostly sunny skies with just a slight chance of showers. Light southwest winds at five to ten miles per hour. Here's where it gets interesting. Tonight in the Pinellas area, the rip current risk bumps up to moderate. We're still looking at one to two foot surf, and while there's no thunderstorm threat, those rip currents become a concern if you're in the water after dark. Lows around eighty with light northwest winds. Down in the Charlotte and Fort Myers Beach area today, expect tiny surf at a foot or less with low rip current risk. It's going to be a beautiful day with mostly sunny skies, highs in the upper eighties, and light southwest winds. The thunderstorm potential is low and the UV index remains extreme, so sunscreen is essential. Tonight in Southwest Florida, conditions are practically mirror glass. One foot or less, no thunderstorm threat, low rip current risk, and calm northwest winds at five to ten miles per hour. Lows near eighty. Looking ahead to Sunday, the pattern remains fairly consistent across the entire forecast area. The northern zones see a return to mostly sunny skies with a moderate thunderstorm potential and one foot or less of surf. The mid-coast continues with similar conditions, though rip currents drop back to low risk with shrinking waves around one foot. Down south, it's sunny and calm with one foot or less of surf and no thunderstorm threat. Highs Sunday will be in the lower to mid-nineties depending on location, with light west winds at five to ten miles per hour. Bottom line this weekend: if you're heading to the beach, you're in for classic summer Florida weather. Bring the sunscreen, watch for afternoon thunderstorms, and remember that even though rip currents are mostly low risk, they can still form near piers, jetties, and groins. The water's in the mid-eighties, the waves are small, and the sun is strong. Have a great day at the beach. For more http://www.quietplease.ai Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

episode Friday Florida Beaches High Rip Current Risk Until 8 AM Extreme UV Index Lower 90s artwork

Friday Florida Beaches High Rip Current Risk Until 8 AM Extreme UV Index Lower 90s

Good morning, this is your West Central and Southwest Florida surf zone forecast for Friday, June 19th, 2026. Let's start with the northern zones covering Levy, Citrus, Hernando, and Pasco counties. If you're heading out to Cedar Key, Crystal River, Homosassa, or Hudson today, expect minimal wave action with surf running one foot or less. The rip current risk is moderate, so exercise caution when entering the water. You'll see mostly sunny skies with a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms developing. Highs reaching the upper 80s under an extreme UV index, so definitely get that sunscreen on before heading to the beach. Southwest winds will be light to moderate around 15 miles per hour. The water temperature is comfortably warm, sitting in the mid 80s. Tonight will cool to the lower 80s with mostly cloudy conditions early, transitioning to partly cloudy skies. The rip current risk remains moderate, and there's still a chance of thunderstorms. Moving south to Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, and Sarasota beaches, we've got something different brewing. A high rip current risk is in effect until 8 AM this morning at popular spots like Clearwater Beach, Saint Pete Beach, Bradenton Beach, and Siesta Key. This isn't something to ignore. Waves will be slightly more substantial here, running one to two feet. While thunderstorm potential is low today, the UV index is extreme, and temperatures will climb to the lower 90s with mostly sunny weather. Southwest winds at 10 to 15 miles per hour will keep conditions pleasant. Tonight the rip current risk drops to moderate, and you'll see partly to mostly cloudy skies with calm conditions. The lower 80s overnight will feel refreshing. Finally, the Charlotte and Lee county beaches including Captiva, Sanibel, and Fort Myers Beach are also under a high rip current risk until 8 AM. Surf here stays one foot or less, but those currents are strong and dangerous. Expect mostly sunny skies, lower 90s, and light southwest winds around 10 miles per hour. Another extreme UV day, so protect your skin. Tonight moderate rip currents continue with one foot or less surf. Light west to southwest winds around 5 miles per hour will make it pretty calm out there. Looking ahead to Saturday, things improve significantly. The high rip current risks expire, dropping to low risk across all zones. Rip currents still deserve respect near structures like piers and jetties, but the overall threat diminishes. Surf remains minimal, one to two feet in the central zones and one foot or less down south. Mostly sunny skies continue with only a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures hold steady in the lower 90s for the central and southern beaches, mid 80s up north. Winds become lighter and more westerly, five to 10 miles per hour. It's shaping up to be a beautiful beach day Saturday. Bottom line: Be aware of those rip currents this morning in the Pinellas through Lee county areas. Slather on the sunscreen everywhere because that UV index is off the charts. Keep an eye on the afternoon thunderstorms, particularly inland. By Saturday, conditions are looking much more favorable across the board. For more http://www.quietplease.ai Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

episode West Central Southwest Florida Surf Zone Forecast High Rip Current Risk Thursday Friday Extreme Heat and UV artwork

West Central Southwest Florida Surf Zone Forecast High Rip Current Risk Thursday Friday Extreme Heat and UV

Good morning, this is your West Central and Southwest Florida Surf Zone Forecast for Thursday, June eighteenth through Friday. Let's start with the northern zones covering Cedar Key down through the Panhandle beaches. Today expect mostly sunny skies with just a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Surf heights will stay minimal at one foot or less, but don't let that fool you into complacency. A moderate rip current risk is in effect, so swimmers and waders should exercise caution, especially near piers and jetties where these currents can intensify. Water temperatures are hovering in the mid-eighties, which feels refreshing given the upper eighties air temperature. Winds will be coming from the south at fifteen to twenty miles per hour, and if you're planning time outdoors, slather on that sunscreen because the UV index is rated extreme today. Moving to the central Gulf Coast, including Pinellas County, Hillsborough, Manatee, and Sarasota beaches, conditions are considerably more dynamic. A High Rip Current Risk is in effect from eight this morning through Friday morning, so this is not a day to ignore water safety warnings. Life-threatening rip currents are likely in the surf zone. Surf heights here are a bit more generous at one to two feet. We're looking at mostly sunny weather with no thunderstorm threats, but those extreme UV levels mean serious sun protection is essential. Temperatures will climb into the lower nineties, and with south winds around fifteen miles per hour, the heat index could feel even more intense. Down in Southwest Florida covering Charlotte and Lee County beaches, another High Rip Current Risk warning runs through Friday morning. Surf will be modest at one foot or less, but again, that rip current risk is substantial. The good news is we're looking at mostly sunny, dry weather with no thunderstorm potential. South winds at ten to fifteen miles per hour will keep things moving, and temperatures reaching the lower nineties combined with that extreme UV index make this a day for the sunscreen enthusiasts. Tonight across all zones, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with temperatures settling into the lower eighties. The High Rip Current Risk continues through Friday morning in the central and southwest zones, so if you're planning an evening beach visit, stay aware. Winds will lighten to around ten to fifteen miles per hour, predominantly from the southwest. Looking ahead to Juneteenth Friday, the northern zones see a moderate rip current risk developing with a moderate chance of showers and thunderstorms, so keep an eye on the sky. Central and southwest zones improve to moderate rip current risk as well, with mostly sunny conditions and just a slight chance of pop-up storms. Surf heights will remain manageable at one to two feet, and southwest winds at ten to fifteen miles per hour will provide pleasant conditions. High temperatures again in the lower nineties across the board. Bottom line: Today and tonight feature HIGH rip current risks in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, and Lee Counties, so swim smart and avoid those dangerous currents. The northern zones maintain a moderate risk. Sunny skies and extreme heat mean protecting your skin is paramount. Water temperatures are perfect for cooling off, just do it safely. episode West Central Southwest Florida Surf Forecast Wednesday Thursday High Rip Current Risk Gulf Coast Beaches artwork

West Central Southwest Florida Surf Forecast Wednesday Thursday High Rip Current Risk Gulf Coast Beaches

Good morning, this is your West Central and Southwest Florida surf zone forecast for Wednesday, June 17th through Thursday evening. Let's start up north where things are pretty mellow. Along the Levy, Citrus, Hernando, and Pasco County beaches from Cedar Key down to Port Richey, expect small surf today with heights at a foot or less. There's a moderate rip current risk in play, so keep that in mind if you're heading out. It's going to be mostly sunny with just a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the mid eighties with southwest winds around 15 miles per hour. Water temperatures are in the mid eighties, which feels pretty nice. Tonight stays mild with lows in the lower eighties and those moderate rip currents stick around. Thursday brings a moderate thunderstorm potential to the area, so watch the skies. Highs again in the mid eighties with slightly stronger southwest winds at 15 to 20 miles per hour. Moving down to the Pinellas County beaches including Clearwater and St. Pete Beach, things pick up just a bit with surf heights of 1 to 2 feet today. The moderate rip current risk continues, but the good news is thunderstorm potential is completely off the table. We're looking at sunny skies and hot conditions with highs around 90 degrees. South winds at 10 to 15 miles per hour will keep things comfortable. Tonight stays partly cloudy with lows in the lower eighties. Now here's where it gets interesting. Thursday the rip current risk escalates to high along this stretch. Life-threatening rip currents are likely in the surf zone, so swimmers and water enthusiasts need to exercise real caution. Conditions will be mostly sunny with that same 1 to 2 foot surf. South winds increase to 15 to 20 miles per hour and highs climb to around 90 degrees. Further south along the Hillsborough, Manatee, and Sarasota County beaches including Bradenton Beach, Longboat Key, and Siesta Key, today looks similar to Pinellas with 1 to 2 foot surf and moderate rip currents. It's going to be sunny with extreme UV conditions, so sunscreen is definitely your friend. Highs push toward 90 degrees with light south winds at 10 to 15 miles per hour. Tonight stays dry and pleasant with those moderate rip currents maintaining. Thursday however brings that high rip current risk to this region as well, so the pattern continues. Mostly sunny skies with 1 to 2 foot surf, higher south winds at 15 to 20 miles per hour, and lower ninety degree highs. Down south in Charlotte and Lee County beaches covering Sanibel, Captiva, and Fort Myers Beach, today is the calmest zone with low rip current risk and minimal surf at a foot or less. Sunny conditions with highs around 90 and those south winds at 10 to 15 miles per hour. Tonight the rip current risk rises to moderate, so conditions are changing. Thursday brings that moderate rip current risk to stay with an uptick in surf to 1 to 2 feet. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms develops, and those south winds hold steady at 10 to 15 miles per hour with highs around 90. The big takeaway for Thursday is that rip current risk escalates significantly along the central Gulf Coast beaches. If you're planning to get in the water, pay attention to those warnings and stay near lifeguard stations. The heat and UV index remain extreme throughout the period, so pack that sunscreen. Conditions overall stay relatively mild with consistent warmth and light to moderate winds, but definitely respect the water conditions as Thursday develops. Stay safe out there.
