Description

My podcast is called The Album Hour, where my co-host, Ruth Moder, and I discuss why LPs are still culturally, financially, and sonically significant in a time in the music business where singles are the priority. We will focus primarily on albums that were released within the past few years to keep things current. Our plan is to invite fellow music lovers and entertainment professionals to join the discussion about these records. For the first episode, we want to set the scene and explain why this podcast is being made in the first place. To do that, we plan to invite a music business professional to talk through the culture, financial, and sonic significance of LPs, and why they are so important today in the music business. Our hope is that this will give listeners a good background as we dive into specific albums in future episodes. The professional we ask to join us is being determined. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy [https://acast.com/privacy] for more information.
