Description

A lot of the time, especially at the moment, there is a great need to have a firm grip and sense of control over uncertain situations. During the pandemic, uncertainty is everywhere! A lot of us are responding to this by giving ourselves an unrealistic, great big things we must control, to give ourselves the illusion of everything running smoothly and the comfort of predictability. Something that we’ve realised lately, however, is that we are actually allowed to ask ourselves, what would happen if I surrendered the urge to control what’s happening right now? Would I die? Would I be eaten alive by a bear? Possibly. But I also might not...AND it’s okay to not know! Not only does it lift a huge weight off our shoulders, but it also reminds us that life isn’t meant to be controlled. There is a certain beautify in just letting things unfold sometimes.
