Episode 46: "New Month's Resolution"  How is your New Year's Resolution going?  If you are like most people, that resolution made on January 1st is barely hanging on by February 1st!  In this episode, we will examine how to think about resolutions/goals and I will provide a way to break down those things you are required to do in your current position and create a "work matrix" to help you improve in all areas of your current position through a strategic quarterly goal planning session.   3 Takeaways: 1) Use the Work Matrix to identify the areas of your job you enjoy/don't enjoy and those areas you are good at/could improve 2) Choose 1 of those areas and make a quantifiable measure--then find an accountability partner and share those goals with them. 3) Meet weekly with your accountability partner to review your progress towards accomplishing yours goals!

I'm Great

Episode 45: "How are you?"  It's a simple enough question as you enter a room or meet up with an acquaintance or coworker.  Did you know that with your response to this simple question, you can set the tone for your entire day and potentially the culture of your entire organization?  In this podcast, I go over a recent conversation I had with a district leader and how responding to the question "How are you?" with the response---"I'm Great--how are you?"  can change the course of your day. 3 Takeaways: 1) Always find the good in the day you are living--the alternative is not so great.  You woke up, you feel well enough to come to work! 2) Make sure to answer truthfully, but then quickly ask the person who you are talking with how their day is going and ask at least 1 follow up question! 3) If you can tell the person you are talking to is not having a good day--follow up later that day with a visit, a call, email, or a quick text!
