The Boomers Are Mad Again
Derek Chauvin has been found guilty. Something a bit different this week. Your hosts, Steve and Paul stand in solidarity against hate, systemic racism, and for a better, more just world. That said, it is not our voices that truly need to be heard right now. In this week's episode, we do our best to amplify black voices. Borrowing from social media posts, and a couple videos from folks who were there, we discussed our thoughts on why white people energy should be used for a lot more listening and a lot less talking. If you're confused about where to start, Steve offers a few books to check out: White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo, How to be an Anti Racist by Ibrim X. Kendi, and The Devil You Know: A Black Power Manifesto by Charles M. Blow.
