Toxic positivity is one thing a lot of us are guilty of. You know that thing you do when someone is sad and instead of consoling them, you tell them how they are not meant to be sad? That, my dear, is toxic positivity. Today marks the 1 week anniversary of the death of peaceful protesters in Lekki, Lagos Nigeria. While there’s been a lot of controversy about their death, it’s important to know that they died fighting for change in the Nigerian police systems. We will not stop talking about them. We will keep Pushing. Praying. Professing. Protesting. They are our heroes and their labors will not be in vain! #EndSARS
