Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2590490/fan_mail/new] On the night of November 13th, 1974, six members of the DeFeo family were shot dead in their beds at 112 Ocean Avenue in Amityville, New York. The killer was their own son. Thirteen months later, George and Kathy Lutz moved in with their three children, telling themselves that what happened to the DeFeos had nothing to do with them. They lasted 28 days. What they experienced inside that house — the voices, the visions, the figure in the yard with glowing red eyes, the slow unraveling of a man who went to sleep one person and woke up another — became the most famous haunting account in American history. But not everyone believes them. In this episode of The Breeze Files, we walk through the murders, the 28 days, and the question that has followed this story for fifty years: was it a haunting, a hoax, or something in between? The Skinwalker Ranch Part 2

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2590490/fan_mail/new] The Shermans are gone. But the ranch isn’t done. In Part 2, we go deeper into the most scientifically documented paranormal investigation in American history. Billionaire aerospace entrepreneur Robert Bigelow purchases the property and sends a team of trained researchers — former FBI, military intelligence, PhDs — to live on the land and document everything. What they logged over the following years is extraordinary. Furniture moving in locked rooms. Electromagnetic spikes in the same locations every time. Orbs of light passing through solid matter. And one night in the north pasture, two researchers watch a tear open in the air — and something large climb through it. We also ask the question that nobody in paranormal investigation wants to sit with: what if the phenomena aren’t random? What if whatever is on that land is aware of being watched — and has been managing what we see this whole time? The Ute people knew what was there and left it alone. We are not so wise. Skinwalker Ranch Part 1

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2590490/fan_mail/new] In our first ever 2 part series, episode 1, we take you to a 512-acre stretch of land in northeastern Utah that has defied explanation for centuries. The Ute people have always known something was wrong there — something ancient, something aware — and they’ve stayed away. The settlers who came after them didn’t listen. We walk through the long history of dread surrounding the land, the families who bought it and left without explanation, and then the Shermans — a normal ranching family who purchased the property in 1994 and spent two years watching their cattle die in impossible ways, their dogs refuse to move past an invisible line, and lights in the sky behave like nothing in nature. Until the night Terry Sherman emptied a rifle into a creature that didn’t fall — and followed its tracks to the tree line, where they simply stopped. The Shermans left. They never went back. Next episode — the scientists arrive. And things get stranger. It knows you’re listening. Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2590490/support]

The Michigan Dogman

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2590490/fan_mail/new] Something is walking through the forests of northern Michigan — and it walks on two legs. First spotted in 1887 in Wexford County, the Michigan Dogman is described as a seven-foot-tall creature with the body of a man and the head of a dog, with a howl that sounds chillingly like a human scream.  The legend exploded in 1987 when a radio DJ played a song about it as an April Fools’ prank — and listeners started calling in with real sightings. The Dogman is said to appear on a ten-year cycle, returning on every year ending in seven.  Coincidence? Maybe. But try telling that to the people who’ve seen it. This week on The Breeze Files, we’re heading into the north woods. Leave the lights on. It knows you’re listening. Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2590490/support]

The Cecil Hotel

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2590490/fan_mail/new] Built in 1924 in downtown Los Angeles, the Cecil Hotel was meant to be a beacon of luxury. Instead, it became one of the most tragedy-soaked addresses in American history. Suicides began within years of opening. Serial killers Richard Ramirez and Vaughn Greenwood both called it home while carrying out their crimes across the city. Over the decades, deaths stacked up — unsolved murders, mysterious accidents, and over 80 documented fatalities within its walls. Then in 2013, 21-year-old Elisa Lam checked in and vanished. Her body was found nineteen days later in a rooftop water tank — a case that gripped the entire internet and still has no satisfying answer. The Cecil is still standing. The history isn’t going anywhere. Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2590490/support]
