December 19th, 2021 - The Church of Classic Rock Winter Holiday Celebration

The Reverend Jeff Smith is back for a special episode he's calling his Winter Holiday Celebration! In this episode, he talks about this being our 2nd Pandemic Holiday, where the idea of celebrating a holiday in December originated, where we're at compared to last year at this time, how to spread some light to those who have done so much for us throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, how to safely celebrate the holidays in 2021, and he has so many thanks to send out to everyone who has socially-distanced, worn their mask, gotten vaccinated, and otherwise chosen the safety of the human race over selfishness and obstinacy!

July 25th, 2021 - One Voice Day and Farewell

Join the Reverend Jeff Smith as he discusses the importance of one voice speaking out for civility, for understanding, for love, and for peace. July 26th is "One Voice Day," when people around the world gather together at the same time to read, out loud, the Universal Peace Covenant. The Reverend will explain how the day got started, detail how important it remains to believe that one voice can make a difference, and read the Universal Peace Covenant. He'll then talk a bit about how the Church got started, and why he's placing it on hiatus indefinitely. And finally, he'll give out a few "Thank You"s to the people who've helped make this program possible for the last six years.

July 18th, 2021 - 52nd Anniversary of the Moon Landing

Join the Reverend Jeff Smith as he celebrates his very first memory of television, and a turning point in scientific advancement for the United States of America! July 20th is the 52nd anniversary of the Apollo moon landing, the day science roared and its sound was heard 'round the globe! The Reverend will be discussing the build-up to this amazing event, explore the idea that the Moon can somehow change people's behavior, investigate the three brave men who took off from Earth to change forever our thinking about space and space travel, and look at what's on-tap for space exploration this year and in the years to come!

July 11th, 2021 - National Embrace Your Geekiness Day

Join the Reverend Jeff Smith for an acknowledgement of just how far some of us have come as long-time inhabitants of the title of geek! Today, July 13th, is "National Embrace Your Geekiness Day," and the Reverend will do just that! Having been a geek his entire life, he's uniquely qualified to look at the etymological origins of the terms used as labels for people like us, explore what being a "geek" in the 21st century actually means, what the difference between a "geek" and a "nerd" actually is, who the 'royalty' of geek culture are, and the Rev'll tell you the story of how his father recognized, and nurtured, a true geek!

July 4th, 2021 - U.S. Independence Day

Join the Reverend Jeff Smith as we celebrate a neighbor turning 154 years old! Today is the 4th of July, otherwise known in the U. S. of A. as Independence Day, the celebration of when, 245 years ago, we declared ourselves a new nation and no longer under British rule! The Reverend will tell you all about that fateful period in U.S. history, the various wars, both foreign and domestic, that have shaped our path forward as a nation, what types of culture shock you should prepare yourself for if you're coming for a visit from another country, and finally the Rev'll talk about his idea of being a "good American" and how people continue to give him hope for the future of this country!
