Let's be honest. Romans 8:36 probably isn't anyone's favorite verse. We love promises about victory. Blessing. Breakthrough. Miracles. But right in the middle of one of the greatest chapters in the Bible, Paul says, "We are counted as sheep to be slaughtered." Why would he say that? Because biblical faith was never built on the promise of an easy life. It was built on the promise of a faithful Shepherd. Paul reaches back to Psalm 44 to remind believers that God's people have always faced hardship—not because they abandoned God, but often because they remained faithful to Him.  Following Jesus has always come with opposition. Wolves are real. Valleys are real. Suffering is real. But none of those realities cancel the greater reality that the Shepherd never leaves His sheep. Nobody volunteers for pressure. Nobody prays for heartbreak. Nobody asks for betrayal, disappointment, anxiety, persecution, or suffering. But every follower of Jesus will eventually walk through seasons where life feels heavy. And when pressure comes, our first instinct is usually to ask... "God, why is this happening?" Paul gives us a different perspective. Instead of viewing pressure as proof that God has abandoned us, he shows us that God is often doing some of His greatest work because of it. Romans 8 reminds us that affliction isn't evidence that God has stepped away—it's often the very place where He is shaping us most deeply.  In this episode, we unpack three powerful truths about pressure: 1. Have you ever walked through a season where life was so hard... you honestly wondered, "God... where are You?" Maybe you've never said it out loud. But you've thought it. The diagnosis came. But for Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, this wasn't about a statue. It was about allegiance. They believed God was able to rescue them, but their obedience wasn't dependent on His deliverance. Their faith rested in God's character, not in a guaranteed miracle. Babylon is still playing the music today. Through notifications, algorithms, social media, entertainment, politics, and endless distractions, culture continually asks us to move Jesus off the throne of our lives. What up, Daily Rebels! Most people think Jesus finished His work at the resurrection. He didn't. The cross finished redemption. The resurrection proved redemption. But today Jesus is still working. Not by dying again. Not by suffering again. But by praying. Right now. At this very moment, the risen Son of God is seated at the Father's right hand, interceding for His people. Romans 8:34 reminds us that Jesus didn't simply rise from the grave—He ascended to the throne. And from that throne, He is actively representing everyone who belongs to Him.  The word intercedes means to plead on behalf of another, to represent someone, to stand as their advocate. Every time the enemy accuses you, Jesus answers. Every time your failures seem louder than your faith, Jesus points to the cross. Every time justice demands payment, Jesus declares, "I already paid." Heaven has never stopped fighting for you because your Advocate never stops speaking for you. In this episode, we unpack three powerful truths about Christ's intercession: 1.
